Northumberland Day is an initiative which was launched and championed by Langley Castle Hotel, and which was realised thanks to the support of passionate Northumbrians, from all walks of life, who helped bring it to fruition. Its ethos is to generate pride in everything Northumbrian, past and present, from culture, heritage and arts and crafts, to food and drink, landscape and sporting and community life.
Carla was recently invited along to Grace Darling's lighthouse to help formally launch Northumberland Day 2018, along with other passionate Northumbrians.
To celebrate, Langley Castle is once again holding a fabulous free to attend event on Saturday 26th May 2018. There will be historical re-enactments, falconry displays, arts, crafts, a wild west tent, guided battlement tours, Northumbrian small pipes, planting activities, food and drink stalls and a steel pan band playing throughout the day.
Following on from last year's reveal of the World's Biggest Stottie, Langley will be staging another 'foodie' reveal for 2018 - don't miss it! There will also be a raffle on the day, with all proceeds going to the Great North Air Ambulance. The winner will receive an overnight stay, with breakfast and dinner included. This will be a fantastic event, and a great day out. We hope to see you there.
